One of my favorite online sites is   I have been a member there since before they were owned by ebay.  Back then, you could get half price books and even books for .01 cent plus shipping!  No joke!  They also put out coupons all the time back then too! Now, things over there are not as cheap but you can still score some pretty good deals!

Finding half price books is still possible but I actually prefer getting them for free.  I have a serious love affair with books!  I don’t step in a bookstore because I know that I will drop $100 or more on books I really don’t need to purchase but I want to read!  This is my solution to keep that expensive habit under control….

Whenever I see a book that I want to check out or read or buy, I go to and add it to my “wish list”.  Every once in a while, I get onto the website for our library system here in Orlando and I request the library to hold a few of the books that are on my wish list over at  Then I remove them from the wish list and browse them at my convenience for free!  If I find that I really MUST have the book then I go back over to and buy it there.

I cannot even begin to calculate the money I have saved by following this method of book browsing!  Not to mention the book shelf space I have saved too!
